Science week 2022😊

We conducted a tooth decay experiment during science week. Egg shells are made of a similar substance to enamel so we explored the effect of different liquids. One egg was soaked in vinegar, another in coke, and another in water. We left them there for 48 hours. We observed that the acid in the vinegar ate through the egg shell leaving hardly any left! The coke had also damaged the egg shell meaning it would damage the enamel on our own teeth. Then water made no change to the egg shell.

We also explored forces, investigating how to make a toy car go further and the effect of ramps of different heights.
