Our Autumn walk in the Woods

Today we went for a walk in Kilronan Woods. We have been learning about native  Irish trees like ash, oak, sycamore, and beech, so we wanted to see if we could spot these trees in the woods. We were also able to identify evergreen trees like the Monkey Puzzle which don’t lose their leaves in autumn. We collected samples of leaves using a checklist to help. When the leaves are dry we will have fun using them to make prints and leaf rubbings 😊
